I review for myself more or less. Writing about a book is my way of processing what I’ve read. I read whatever the heck I want to. My tastes change and I am a reader of all genres, I tend to change it up in order to avoid getting sick of one genre.
My favorite genres are Romance, Young Adult, New Adult, MM Romance, PNR and Urban Fantasy.
My rating system, which pretty much follows the Goodreads ratings system except for a few minor changes:
5 stars = Holy Crap it blew me away
4 stars = Really liked it
3 stars = liked it
2 stars= meh wasn’t that good
1 star = aw hell no.
***Just because I rate something 3 stars doesn’t mean I don’t like it. I just wasn’t in love with it and/or it needed major edits to make it worthy of a higher rating.I also don’t review everything I read. Sometimes a book is better enjoyed when it’s not analyzed.

Mixing it up a little certainly helps avoid reading slumps in my opinion! I love contemporary new adult romance but also fantasy and YA, keeps things interesting 😁
